Getting Ready for the Exciting Journey of 4th Grade!

As the new academic year begins, it's time to gear up for the adventures and challenges that come with being a 4th grader. From science labs to math projects and a whole lot of reading, this year promises to be full of excitement and learning opportunities.

Embracing Science Labs

One of the highlights of 4th grade is the chance to explore the world of science through hands-on experiments and projects in the science lab. Our topics for science this year are chemistry and physics.  GLL will have the opportunity to engage with the wonders of the natural world and develop a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.

The World of Math

With lots of review of previous concepts in addition, subtraction and multiplication, 4th grade is the time when division takes center stage. We will continue building the foundational skills in arithmetic, and problem-solving. Our guy will be challenged to think critically and develop his mathematical abilities. Whether it's mastering basic arithmetic tables or tackling complex word problems, the world of math offers endless possibilities for growth and exploration.

Dive into the World of Books

In 4th grade,  GLL will have the opportunity to dive into a wide variety of books, from medieval literature to contemporary fiction. Reading not only enhances vocabulary and comprehension skills but also fosters a love for storytelling and imagination. With a diverse selection of reading materials, our guy will be able to explore different genres and perspectives, expanding his horizons and broadening his understanding of the world around them.

Conclusion

As our young scholar embarks on the journey of 4th grade, he is poised to embrace a year filled with exciting projects, challenging math concepts, and captivating books. This year will also bring the first major science project and a major history project. With a curious mind and a thirst for knowledge, GLL's opportunities for growth and learning are endless. So here's to a fantastic year ahead, filled with STEM, great literature, history and writing about it all.
